Wolfgang and Elly have been running the AlpenRetreat since 2012. After many years of traveling in Asia, South America and other countries, they started the Yoga Resort AlpenRetreat on the Fernpass. Here they share their in-depth knowledge of yoga, meditation and self-reflection with interested parties. Wolfgang was born in Tyrol and his wife Elly was born in London, England.

The Yoga Resort AlpenRetreat is located at 1212m above sea level on the Tyrolean Fernpass. The lovingly preserved, almost 500-year-old AlpenRetreat building is located directly on the historic Via Claudia Augusta, in the middle of the Austrian Alps. Numerous excursions and hikes can be started right on the doorstep. Several crystal-clear mountain lakes, which can be reached on foot, invite you to swim, dive and unwind. The nearby Zugspitz Arena offers numerous nature experiences and sports opportunities in both summer and winter. The AlpenRetreat offers yoga and meditation holidays, training courses and retreats all year round. Only when there is no event taking place or there are still rooms available during an event do we offer the option of booking as a Bed & Breakfast guest. “It is our goal to offer a safe place of insight and reflection.
