Behind the Veitenhof stands our family, who put their hearts and souls into ensuring the well-being of our guests: Grandma Rosi and Grandpa Gustl, Michael and Margreth, and our sons Mika and Tim. Grandma Rosi accompanies you on atmospheric herb walks through the countryside around Niederthai. Grandpa Gustl is happy to invite you on a leisurely carriage ride. Margreth is your contact at reception and will pamper you with soothing massages on request. As a certified Nordic walking instructor, mountain bike guide, hiking guide, snowboard instructor and state-certified cross-country skiing instructor, Michael brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm for outdoor activities. Our son Mika completed his compulsory military service after graduating from high school and now works as a trained carpenter. Tim, our younger son, is still attending secondary school. Both actively support the farm whenever help is needed.

‘A special farm – in a special valley – with a special panoramic view’ The Veitenhof is located in Niederthai, at 1,550 metres above sea level in the ÖTZTAL valley, and offers a unique, open and sunny location! Experience unforgettable holidays in our cosy holiday apartments – ideal for couples, families and singles with children. We have something for everyone. For your daily enjoyment, there is a small organic shop, a bread roll service and a cosy barbecue area. Relax in our sauna and infrared cabin while the children let off steam in the large playground or children's playroom. Numerous animals await you in the farmyard to be petted and experienced: horses, alpacas, rabbits, guinea pigs and goats delight guests of all ages. From spring to autumn, we offer riding lessons directly on the farm (Mon–Fri) for horse lovers of all ages. You can book a romantic carriage ride all year round. In winter, the Niederthai Card is included – it gives you access to many free winter activities, such as skiing and alpaca trekking. A place to feel good, relax and experience – a holiday that suits YOU!

Welcome to the Ötztal Valley – a paradise for families, adventurers and nature lovers! There is something for everyone to discover here – from sporting activities to relaxing moments amidst the impressive mountain scenery. The Veitenhof is the perfect starting point for easy to challenging hikes, mountain bike tours, climbing routes, rafting or paragliding. Nearby you will find the Stuibenfall waterfall, the Ötzi village, a swimming lake and the bird of prey park. Bikers also get their money's worth in the Ötztal valley – countless trails, the Ötztal mountain bike trail and 12 downhill trails in Sölden. In winter, Niederthai offers 22 km of perfectly groomed cross-country trails, a small ski area for beginners and slightly advanced skiers (free of charge!) and easy access to Sölden, Gurgl and Ötz by car or free ski bus. Tobogganing, snowshoe hikes, ski tours, llama & alpaca treks or even a leisurely hut hike round off the winter activities on offer. After an active day, you can relax in our wellness area, in the Kneipp facility with barefoot path or with a massage.
