Company info

Between 1911 and 1920, Marion's great-grandfather was mayor of Ehrwald. At that time, the mayor's office, the so-called "Gemeindestube", was also housed in this house. When Marion's grandfather inherited the house, he and Marion's grandmother built three guest rooms on the 1st floor. At that time they accommodated mainly guests from Bavaria. Among them was the famous Munich comedian Liesl Karlstadt (Karl Valentin's stage partner). Marion's grandfather took Liesl Karlstadt to the "Auerhahnpfalz" (he was a farmer and hunter), and then celebrated this experience in the cozy parlor with a good bacon breakfast. A former mayor of Ehrwald knew the history of the house and came with two Munich photographers who took pictures of the - now famous - "Stube". These pictures are now on display in Munich's Karl Valentin Museum. Of course, our two apartments have been renovated several times in the meantime and now offer coziness and comfort in a modern ambience!

Haus Marion - your apartment house with history! Our house Marion is very centrally located in the middle of Ehrwald: not only the bus stop for the free (with guest card) round trip bus is within easy walking distance, but also various grocery and sports stores, butcher store, bakery, farm store with regional products and several restaurants can be found in the immediate vicinity of our apartment house. The two apartments can also be booked together and become a cozy family apartment for up to 5 adults or 4 adults and 2 children through a connecting door. We offer free parking directly in front of the house. Pets are allowed on request. Bread roll service is possible. We hope to meet you soon! Your hosts Marion & Helmuth Mössmer

Neighborhood info

Enjoy your vacation directly at the foot of the Zugspitze, surrounded by mighty mountain massifs such as the Lechtal and Ammergau Alps and the Wetterstein Mountains. Numerous hiking trails and mountain bike routes but also indoor activities like playing tennis, swimming in the family pool or climbing will make your vacation an unforgettable experience. Not far behind our house is the valley station of the Sonnenhanglift - meanwhile "Sunracer"- (connection to Wetterstein- and Gamskarlift, meeting point of the ski school). The house is located on the road to the ski area Ehrwalder Alm (ski bus stop); in the immediate vicinity are also ice skating rink, indoor swimming pool, tennis courts and all shopping facilities (bakery three houses away).
