This spacious apartment in walking distance to Lake Wolfgang (shown in the opening aerial view in The Sound of Music) and the St. Gilgen village center, is located next to a babbling brook with mountain views and its own entrance. The apartment consists of a living room, bedroom, bathroom with bathtub and eat-in kitchen. The living room sofa can be converted to a comfortable bed, and two additional sofa-chairs can be converted to full single beds, allowing the apartment sleep up to 6 people. Crib available upon request. I have personally created all of the artwork in the apartment. Some, such as the painting in the living room, is based on scenes from a movie filmed in St. Gilgen in 1966. You will find that in many ways, not a lot has changed in St. Gilgen, which is truly the secret to its nostalgic, let-the-world-pass-you-by charm. Your own personal reproductions can be ordered and shipped internationally upon request. We hope you love the lake life as much as we do!
