Our “Marktplatzerl” is located in the heart of the historic center of Mauterndorf in the Lungau Biosphere Park. The hiking and skiing areas of Großeck/Speiereck (1 km away), Katschberg, Fanninberg and Obertauern are within 20 km. The nearest bus station is only 200m away. Completely renovated and yet in the middle of a house that could probably tell centuries-old stories. Modern, with many natural details.
We, that is Michaela & Miha with our boys Ben and Emil, love life in the Lungau mountains. No matter whether summer or winter - you can find us on the mountain: with skis or a hiking backpack. We look forward to seeing you, dear guest! We ourselves are mountain enthusiasts, big and small, and are always on the go. Whether it's tips about ski areas, hiking routes, walking paths, our favorite restaurants or tips & tricks with children, we'll be happy to advise you. We've tried a lot of things with our sons and new adventures keep coming up.
In the immediate vicinity of our Marktplatzerl, there are traditional and modern restaurants (from inns with meat from their own farm to the 4-toque restaurant, souvenir shops, cafés, bakery, supermarket, Mauterndorf Castle and numerous walking and hiking trails as well as the cycle path.
