Sonnalm Lechtal , time out at 1800m The Sonnalm is located at 1800 m at the mountain station of the Lechtal cable car to the Jöchelspitze. The area around the Jöchelspitze is known for its magnificent flora and fauna. The Sonnalm is the starting point for several alpine trails, such as the Lechtal Panorama Trail or the botanical nature trail. The unique mountain hay museum can also be found above the Sonnalm on the slopes of the Jöchelspitze. The mountain restaurant can be reached on foot or by cable car from Benglerwald, a district of the municipality of Bach. The starting point at the valley station of the Lechtal cable cars in Benglerwald/Bach can easily be reached by hiking bus. It is also possible to get to the valley station by car. From there, the trail runs along a gravel road up the mountain. A brisk hiker will need 60 to 90 minutes to cover the 600 vertical meters from Benglerwald to Sonnalm. The Sonnalm can also be reached from Holzgau via the Schiggen.
