Dear guest, welcome to the Straniger Alm! Since 2016 I have been managing with my team with great pleasure and commitment the "Straniger Alm" which, in addition to the gastronomic business with overnight accommodation in a wonderful alpine setting, also consists of the agricultural business. Goats and cows are milked here every day. Our good alpine milk is processed in the dairy to a wide variety of products (cheese, butter, yogurt, curd cheese, and much more). Of course, as a dairyman, you are welcome to look over my shoulders and ask relevant questions. I would be very happy to welcome you to the Straniger Alm and to end the day with a 1/8 wine in the evening with a sunset in a picturesque mountain setting.

Fresh mountain air has been proven to work wonders for the body and soul. It is high time to do something good for yourself - you deserve it. Our "Straniger Alm" captivates with its idyllic mountain landscape at an altitude of 1501 meters. As far as the eye can see you are surrounded by picturesque alpine meadows with extensive hiking opportunities in the mountains of the Carnic Alps. Escape the stress of everyday life and enjoy the calm and serenity between the life of yesteryear and today and exchange the ringing of your alarm clock for cowbells. We not only take care of your physical well-being with products from our own farm, we also do not forget about intellectual food. That is why we regularly offer cheese courses in our alpine dairy and herbal workshops. Although you spend your vacation on the alpine pasture with us, you are not far from the many lakes in Carinthia. Even the sea can be reached on a day trip.

If you arrive by car, please note that you cannot use the navigation device to guide you through Italy. Traveling via Italy is not advisable with every vehicle. Please travel via Stranig in Austria. From there, a 10km long gravel road that can be managed with any car if you drive appropriately leads directly to us on the mountain pasture.
