My name is Kirsten and along with my husband Mark (and our two energetic boys), we welcome you to A Stanthorpe Getaway. Our passion is to offer a home away from home to every family allowing them to truly embrace the beauty and the uniqueness of the granite belt and all it has to offer. As the allure of the ‘big smoke’ and the grind of long commutes and working hours wore thin, my husband and I (both being country born and bred), began yearning for the smell of the country air again. Having 2 energetic young boys who absolutely love the outdoors hurried us along! And so, one day stuck in the office we happened upon A Stanthorpe Getaway, and the rest they say is history. Our goal is to ensure you as our guest, feels welcome, relaxes and you enjoy everything the granite belt and southern downs has to offer. A Stanthorpe Getaway is 5 individual residences nestled in the heart of wine country. Situated on 6.5 acres of rustic charm, with diverse wildlife on display and centrally located in Ballandean. We have 12 wineries within a couple of km’s that offer world class wines and Strange Bird varieties. Also, it is a short 5 min walk to the St Jude’s Bistro and Ballandean tavern, 10 min drive to Girraween National Park and 5 min drive to Storm King Dam. There are 5 self-contained residences on offer. • The rustic James farmhouse has 5 bedrooms and sleeps up to 14. The Farmhouse is the ideal destination for large groups or multiple families to stay under one roof. With original features including 2 open wood fireplaces, large formal dining room and spacious internal and external living areas. It is the perfect place to base yourself for you adventures in the granite belt. • Altai Yurt has 3 bed rooms and sleeps up to 6 is a luxury stay with unique construction. This 12-sided building provides panoramic views of the bush and the adjacent winery. With all the creature comforts, beautiful fireplace and a massive deck for you to relax on, it is the ideal place to return to after exploring the Granite Belt’s offerings. • Rose Cottage is a spacious rustic studio cottage that sleeps up to 2. Originally the workers cottage, it provides a rustic feel with recliner sofa by the original open fireplace. It is the ideal place to escape the city, explore Girraween national Park, drink some wine and de-stress. • Namar and Zuny Yurts are single bedroom Yurts. They can be configured to sleep 4 people. These contemporary and quirky buildings provide a comfort escape for couples, friends and family’s looking to getaway form the grind of city life and enjoy the wine and nature. They are perfect option for a quick weekend getaway.

The property can be explored, there is beautiful view from the top of the hill. Book with us your and you are within a 10 min Drive from 12 world class wineries that have registered Strange Bird Varieties. We suggest you grab your favorite bottle form them and enjoy the sunset view from our property. We are 10 Min drive from Girraween National Park, 5 Min drive from Storm King Dam, 40 min drive to Sundown National Park 4WD. St Jude's Bistro & wine bar and the Ballandean Tavern is a 5 Min walk.
