30 years ago,my late husband & I purchased a beautiful charachter home in the country.Over the years we lovingly transformed it into a place of beauty & creativity. Together we planted European trees that now grace the property and thru the 4 seasons of Bathurst showcase the delightful colours of winter spring summer & autumn are magnificent .As we raised our children we opened our home to Japanese exchange students creating lasting friendships & sharing Australian country life & culture. Travel was also an important part of our life .I have been fortunate to explore South Africa and other parts of the world that have enriched my appreciation of different cultures and people . Today our home stands as a reflection of a lifetime of love ,creativity & hospitality . It holds treasured memories of John’s remarkable craftsmanship of his passion for Leadlight and art displayed in the home .

Nestled on 5 picturesque acres in the beautiful hills of Bathurst,our property is surrounded by stunning established gardens,rolling countryside,an ideal retreat for solo travellers,or anyone looking to unwind & relax. Wake up each morning to a delicious country-style ,breakfast using fresh local produce .During the cooler months curl up beside a crackling wood fire,creating the perfect cosy atmosphere after a day exploring Bathurst & surrounding regions.

Hawks Nest is located in a scenic area and very peaceful surroundings with a 10 minute easy country drive into the many boutique stores & award winning restaurants that Bathurst enjoys .Short drives to the many surrounding historic villages including Orange Millthorpe Carcoar Rockley & Sofala . Our famous international race track at Mt Panorama where world class events are held during the year .only a 3 hour scenic drive through The Blue Mountains to the Central West .
