There is lot more beyond the front gates of our historical property. Once the front door is opened people are taken back with the staircase, huge rooms, pressed tin ceilings and of course our unique bar/diner/cellar with it's many signs (approx. 359)! Upstairs you have the added bonus of a Spa on the back verandah which is accessed by both our rooms. We include breakfast in our room price, so there is no need to start your day on an empty stomach. We love our property and take great care in keeping it clean and tidy at all times.
We are situated in the Main Street of York, so you can park your car up at our premises and enjoy walking around the town. There is so much to see starting at the Town Hall then a short walk to The Sock Factory (not just socks!). You can visit all the quaint little shops along the Terrace and the York Motor Museum, Courthouse Museum and Residency Museum are a must see. Enjoy a coffee or meal at the many cafes and pubs around the town or arrange a picnic lunch and eat in one of our parks or on your balcony overlooking our back garden and Peace Park. Take a drive up to Mount Brown and enjoy the sunset and views of our historical town...
