Coffs Harbour is the ideal stop when driving between Sydney or Melbourne and Brisbane. Nestled between the mountains and the ocean, there is plenty to see and do. Why not stay a few extra days or weeks and enjoy this beautiful area? There are more than 30 beaches for you to explore and there is always your pool (in summer). You can take a whale watching cruise (in season), attend a cheese- or bread-making workshop or visit the Big Banana Fun Park (lolly-making, laser tag, water park, ice skating, mini-golf, etc.). Speaking of golf, there are 6 local courses from which to choose. Visit Sealy Lookout for a spectacular view over the city or take a walk out to Muttonbird Island (Shearwaters and Whale Watching in season). Whales can also been seen from Look-At-Me-Now Headland as well as lots of kangaroos. For those who like walking there is the Solitary Islands Coastal Walk stretching 60km along the coast (do as much or as little as you like) or you can head inland to some beautiful national parks. For something a little different, a walk from the Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary (Seals and Dolphins) to the Botanical Gardens is a pleasant experience. All that activity will work up an appetite so at Chez Jacques you have your own fully equipped kitchen (double oven, cooktop, microwave, air fryer, dishwasher, full size fridge and all the pots, pans, crockery and cutlery you could need.
