Pristine waterfront facing D’Entrecasteaux Channel, Kaoru offers a relaxing getaway in tranquil surroundings and encounters with abundant fauna and birdlife. The access to the accommodation from the parking area is 5 steps along a timber decking onto a pine bark pathway, approx. 30-meter walk. We have indoor/outdoor setting throughout the property with a fully stocked fire pit to enjoy. Bedroom, bathroom and kitchen are all separate little cabins connected by the decking.
We live in the main house with 2 well behaved and friendly Jack Russels. You will have freedom and privacy during your stay however, we are always available should there be anything you need.
Kaoru is situated near the township of Alonnah. You can take a short drive or easy walk along the track and sandy beach to town. Alonnah is centrally located to many attractions Bruny Island has to offer. Kaoru is on South Bruny Island. To get there from Hobart it is a pleasant 40 minutes’ drive to Kettering where you take a vehicular ferry (15 minutes ride). The ferry runs regularly between 6:30am and 7pm (please check the timetable on Sealink Bruny Island website) Kaoru is approximately 35 mins drive South from Roberts Point (ferry terminal on Bruny).
