Nestled amongst the tree tops in a quiet, secluded part of Venus Bay, The Magic Beach Cottage is a lovely 2-bedroom house within walking distance of nearby beaches. It is named after a children's book written by a local! Only a 20 minute drive from Inverloch and 30 minute drive from Leongatha, the house backs onto the dunes of the Cape Liptrap Coastal Park and the beaches of Venus Bay. It is a 10 minute walk to Beach no. 5 - very convenient if you don't want to worry about trying to find parking. The Doyles Road (Anderson Inlet) beach is just a few minutes drive away, which is a safer swimming option for children, and offers a designated dog off leash area all year round. The Magic Beach Cottage features an open plan living/kitchen/dining area overlooking Cape Liptrap Coastal park. It offers reverse cycle air-conditioning, a wood combustion heater and double glazed windows to keep the temperature as desired. Bed linen is provided and there is a washing machine for those times when you mistakenly don't pack enough. There is an Expressi coffee machine, coffee pods and the usual pantry staples are provided - salt, pepper, oil. The kitchen is well-equipped and has most everything you need to keep everyone well-fed and happy. The cottage offers a fully equipped kitchen, a 107cm satellite TV and Blu Ray player. There is good wifi connection so you may wish to stream your movies from your laptop or phone using the Chromecast device that’s already attached to the TV. Alternatively, you can relax in the sunshine on the large open deck overlooking the tree tops, or cook up a BBQ in the separate covered outdoor area. There are board games for the kids and books in case you want to cosy up on an armchair near the fireplace. There is something for the entire family to enjoy.

Experience the wild waters and golden sands of the South Gippsland coastline at Venus Bay, a small settlement nestled in vegetated sand dunes. The town has a population of around 500, but can surge into the thousands as anglers, surfers and families converge during holiday periods. Travel just outside the town to five superb surf beaches patrolled by surf lifesavers in the summer months. Find safe, sheltered beaches ideal for swimming at the state's longest sand spit at Anderson Inlet. Make your way along the coast from Venus Bay to Cape Liptrap for the chance to visit the old lighthouse and discover native Australian plants and wildlife. The calm waters of Anderson Inlet make it an ideal destination for both boating and fishing.
