Anlaby was established in 1839, the main house built in 1861. The current property sits on 2,000 hectares and is home of the oldest Merino Stud in South Australia. When visiting Anlaby Station you are bound to see some of our 1,500 merino sheep as they graze in the open plains or perhaps the wooded areas To completely immerse yourself in the tranquility and beauty of Anlaby, and absorb the history of your surroundings, while staying at the Manor House (once the Manager's and Accountant's offices) you may want to wander through the extensive gardens at your leisure. The Manor House is a two story building renovated and converted into a Three Bedroom self contained Bed and Breakfast accommodation. You'll find three bedrooms upstairs (One with Queen bed and the two others each with Split-King beds). A comfortable sitting room, a kitchen and the bathroom are on the ground floor. Full Breakfast provisions are provided. A Gift Shop on site is an opportunity to acquire one of the numerous wollen products (blankets, throws, ponchos, etc) woven from the wool shorn from the Anlaby flock.
