Perfectly positioned along the shoreline of Encounter Marine Park, this two-storey coastal home captures sweeping ocean outlooks and a bright, open atmosphere throughout. Upstairs, the main open-plan living area centres around panoramic coastal views, where picture windows draw the ocean into the space and comfortable seating and a TV invite quiet reading or long conversations. The adjoining kitchen is well equipped for easy holiday meals, while the nearby dining area offers a relaxed place to gather after a long day. Outdoors, the covered alfresco patio extends the living space with outdoor dining, lounge seating and a BBQ, while the fully fenced backyard offers a safe place for children to play. Rinse off after the surf in the outdoor shower, then spend the evening gathered around the fire pit beneath the starlit sky. Bedrooms are positioned across both levels, creating space and privacy throughout the home. Upstairs, the primary bedroom offers a calm retreat with a king bed and ocean views. It includes a walk-in robe, ensuite and split-system air conditioning for year-round comfort, while a nearby powder room adds extra convenience on this level. Downstairs, there is one queen bedroom and two additional bedrooms with single beds, along with a main bathroom and full laundry. Driveway parking is available for two cars. Please note the top bunks shown in bedrooms three and four are not available for guest use. A portacot and high chair are available to hire for a fee. Should you require them, please let us know upon booking. Please be mindful of local fire bans, as the fire pit is unavailable when restrictions are in place.

This stretch of coastline, known as the Basham Whale Nursery, becomes a haven for southern right whales and their calves during winter and spring. It’s not uncommon to spot mothers and calves playing in the shallows just offshore — an unforgettable sight. Just metres away, Middleton Point is one of South Australia’s most well-known surf breaks, drawing surfers year-round with its consistent waves and relaxed beach atmosphere. A short walk or bike ride leads to Port Elliot and Middleton, where boutique cafés, coastal eateries and the iconic Port Elliot Bakery offer plenty of options for coffee, fresh local fare and relaxed seaside dining. Scenic coastal trails connect Goolwa to Victor Harbor, passing cliffs, quiet beaches and sweeping ocean views along the way.
