Beautifully renovated barn within walking distance to cafes in the historic and leafy streets of central Nowra. Base yourself within a short drive to Kangaroo Valley, Hyam's Beach and the lively markets of Berry. Enjoy coming home to the peace and quiet of your own self-contained space in a separate dwelling with brand new appliances. Be entranced by the sheer style and elegance self contained barn has to offer. Located in the tightly held historical precinct, minutes from the river, parks, library and shops this beautifully maintained 1920 property is full of comfort, space and conveniences. Enjoy the spacious modern designed space full of light, style and convenience. Polished concrete floor, handmade pottery, a comfortable and breathable Koala Mattresses together with luxurious eucalyptus fibre and hypoallergenic sheets. After you re-invigorated your senses, entertain in style with the well presented private outdoor area under a gorgeous tree. This property is close to all amenities, including local schools, transport and only minutes walk to CBD. This home has it all.
I love hosting, travel and food.
It was only after drastic floods in the nearby township of Terara in 1870 that Nowra became established in its own right. It is now a popular base for local adventure tour operators, including Shoalhaven Zoo, Trees Adventures, rock climbing and the Shoalhaven River Cruise. Nowra has a number of historic buildings and houses dating from the Victorian era. In Nowra you can stroll past some of the original 1890’s buildings on the Nowra historical walk. Along the way you can see the Nowra murals painted on the sides of buildings in the CBD, or stop in to the Shoalhaven Regional Gallery. Beautiful Meroogal houses displays showing the lives of four generations of women. Take a walk around town and check out the murals which are popping up on the walls of Nowra. Our favourite is on the rear wall of the Shoalhaven Regional Gallery - an Aboriginal child and yellow tailed black cockatoo honouring the Yuin nation - by Matt Adnate.
