Serenity House Pemberton was created from a desire to slow down, reconnect with nature, and share the beauty of Western Australia’s Southern Forests with others. After moving to Pemberton in 2021 for a complete tree-change, Jon and Cat began lovingly renovating what would become Serenity House Pemberton, opening the retreat to guests in 2022. Serenity Cottage followed in 2024, with the addition of the forest wellness spa in 2025. Inspired by years of travel, boutique stays, wellness retreats, and a growing need to escape the pressures of busy corporate careers, Serenity House was designed as a place where guests could truly rest, reset, and reconnect. Surrounded by towering karri forests and peaceful gardens, our accommodations blend cosy luxury with the slower rhythms of country life. Guests can choose between our private self-contained forest house, charming heritage cottage, or both properties together for larger gatherings. We also offer wellness experiences through our forest spa, including massages, beauty treatments, day spa experiences, and multi-day retreats designed to encourage relaxation and renewal. Set along a quiet karri forest path beside the Bibbulmun Track, Munda Biddi Trail and Pemberton Arboretum Ntework, Serenity House blends heritage charm with relaxed comfort. Originally designed by Mrs Drake, an antique dealer and relative of Sir Francis Drake, the home features jarrah accents, deep sash window seats, lead-crystal doors, antique furnishings, and curated interiors creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Accommodating up to 8 guests across four bedrooms and two bathrooms, the house offers cosy wood fires, peaceful forest views, a well-stocked library, inviting lounge and dining spaces, Netflix, Xbox, luxury bedding, Egyptian cotton towels, eco-friendly forest-inspired toiletries, and a fully equipped country kitchen. Guests love relaxing on the undercover veranda surrounded by gardens and towering forest, where birdsong, butterflies, kangaroos, and emus are regular visitors. Evenings bring star-filled skies and glimpses of the Milky Way, adding to the sense of tranquillity and escape. Optional wellness spa experiences, pre-orderable food options, and host guidance further enhance the stay. Despite its secluded woodland setting, we are a short 10-minute walk from town amenities and restaurants.
