Discover the Magic of the Upper Murray River area. Snowy Mountain Holidays is located in NE Victoria, overlooking the Upper Murray River and onto the Snowy Mountains Range. Experience the magnificent views and the pristine environment. The Upper Murray is mostly a fat cattle and dairy farming area. Here you are in the real thing, away from maddening crowds. We offer two cottages, uniquely constructed with open beams and a cozy atmosphere. The cottages are fully self-contained with linen provided and efficient reverse cycle air conditioned for heating and cooling. For larger groups, we can accommodate up to 10 between both of our 2 cottages. The cottages are not far from each other and, so make interaction easy. There are wonderful scenic drives, great bicycling, river fishing and swimming, golf 20min away, walking and hiking tracks or simply relaxing and enjoying the views. We provide excellent hospitality and very clean, personal and pleasant accommodation.
We live on the property and are here to help with ideas for activities and information about our area. We have built the main house and the two cottages.
Our property is located on a dead end road in the rural township of Towong. There are neighbors on either side of us. To the front and back of the property is open land and paddocks. There is safe river swimming 500m. We rent canoes. BYO bicycle for some nice rural rides. We can direct you to a few fishing spots. There are numerous scenic drives and hikes for all fitness types.
