The French River Chalets have two chalets on the river-facing block, fully self-contained, with two bedrooms, queen beds in each and 1 bathroom, air-conditioned living area, with laundry facilities, Wifi, internet TV, BBQ, outdoor dining area, all within 100m of the tranquil Kalgan River. Pet friendly and peaceful, within 18kms of the centre of Albany and close to the beaches, mountains, national parks, wineries, restaurants and much more in the Great Southern.

We created these chalets as our own escape from the noise of everyday life - a place to slow down, reconnect, and breathe. What started as a personal sanctuary soon became something we wanted to share, so we built two chalets: close enough to gather with family and friends, yet thoughtfully spaced to preserve a sense of privacy and calm. As hosts, we’ve tried to shape this space the way we experience it ourselves - peaceful, welcoming, and unpretentious. It’s a place where mornings are quiet, pets are part of the story, and the simple comforts you need are always within reach. Whether you’re here to unwind, explore, or just spend time together, we hope you’ll feel the same sense of ease and belonging that made us fall in love with it.
