Built in 1917, our 3-bed, 2-bath little worker's cottage sleeps eight. Full of old fashioned charm and relaxed country features, it has all the modern conveniences for a perfect weekend away. Big bedrooms, comfy lounge and full kitchen. Space to relax.
We will always be a phone call away. Keys are left in a key box. The manual will include most of what you need to know. Our neighbour looks after the mail and wheelie bins (and will pop in and put them out even if you are there). Our studio out the back is a private rental, and you may see him walking down the drive to and from work or church.
Turn right and walk down the block to PK's General Goods Store and have a pastry or roll with coffee in their lovely courtyard out the back. We are located on "Hospital Hill", so turn and walk left down Leonard Street (which turns into Wescott Street) to look at the grand old homes and the view. This walk will take you to the beginning of the main street. While you are there, take the time to visit some of the old pubs on the main road in town (most with bistros). Go to our local, "The Mighty", approximately 2 km north on the main road. Of course, enjoy the Hunter Gardens, the Zoo, 3 golf courses, wineries, cheese shop, chocolate shop, cafes restaurants of the Pokolbin and Lovedale areas, both approximately 10 minutes drive.
