Everything was just beautiful. We had hot weather but it was cool inside and the pool was great. Thé location was close to Normanville for morning swims. We loved the surrounding gardens and eating outside under the grapevines. Everything was good...

Mark
A unique National Trust-listed heritage getaway set in a spectacular 4-acre garden with pool. Built in the 1840s but with all today's mod cons, it is a cherished example of early settler living in the heart of South Australia's famed Fleurieu Peninsula.

Bathed in history, The Olives Heritage House was built in the 1840s, using a "mud-and-pug" system combining local rock with on-site clay. The classic neo-Georgian front section, of brick and stone was extended in 1858. The Olives was the first house to be built in Yankalilla, hub of the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula (sometimes known as Tuscany with Gum Trees). We are just a short drive from the fabled McLaren Vale wineries, the surf beaches of Middleton and the famous Links at Lady Bay golf course and resort is just minutes away.
