Thie My Chree Retreat (manx Gaelic) which means "Home of my heart". We are originally from the Isle Of Man which is where the name comes from. We lived in a village close to an ancient druid circle and a hill top village called Cregneish. There was an original manx cottage called Cregneish cottage. It is still standing and is now a tourist attraction. Anfield Cottage is the from the other part of our heritage which is Liverpool England. Thie My Chree Retreat has now changed to a more sustainable and green energy supply - solar We have just recently installed another 72 solar panels and 24 batteries so that the property can go off grid and have less impact on the environment. This was a bit step for us to take but it is something we have dreamed of doing for a very long time. The waste water from both cottages is treated in a biomax system and used to water vegetation on the property.
We decided to build the holiday cottages so that we could share some of the life style we are so fortunate to have here with others.
The Swan Valley wine region is the oldest wine region in Western Australia. There is a lot more to see and do than wine though. We have the beautiful bells Rapids, the cuddly animal farm, the reptile park, Gomboc art gallery, the house of honey, the chocolate factories, the nougat factory, Supa golf, Midland farmers markets on sundays, Caversham wildlife park, whiteman park.
