View Street Studios are set within Albany's most unique residence, nestled on Kardarup (Mount Melville) with sweeping bay and harbour views. These elegant one-bedroom studios are the perfect backdrop for your holiday or business trip. A full kitchen, warming wood fireplace, and timber terrace give you plenty of quiet space to relax and reconnect. A luxurious king-sized bed and adjacent bathroom are finished with premium bedding and towels. Billowing linen curtains open at the touch of a button to reveal artful use of sustainably grown timber surrounding the two-storey insulated window overlooking Mammang-Koort (Princess Royal Harbour). These architecturally designed studios were purpose built with form, function, and sustainability in mind. The architectural brief was to build a home with a luxury accommodation offering that would last for centuries, and that followed a midcentury modern theme with contemporary design elements. Our hope was that we would build something that sat comfortably back into the landscape, surrounded by native and endemic vegetation that provides food and shelter for the native fauna of the Albany and the Great Southern Region.

View Street Studios were originally developed by James Kernaghan and Louise Everett with the intention of adding a unique new style to the built landscape in View Street and the neighborhood while contributing to the sustainable development of the tourism and business travel sector in the town. James is the present owner and manager and is at heart, a person who likes to bring joy and happiness to others through hosting them around his home and helping them to understand and experience the local community and environment in the beautiful place that is Albany.

View Street is a quiet street in Albany Western Australia in one of the oldest and most settled parts of the town. The property is a short walk to the town centre with parks, restaurants and shopping. It is also minutes away from the walking trails of Kardarup (Mount Melville).
