Jackie Gill and Brian Poller purchased the property at auction in late 2009 to create a unique accommodation experience. Weelaway on Gregory is actually two properties: the front, Weelaway Homestead, was built in 1870 by Mr G.E Sewell, who went on to become Geraldton
Jackie is a former journalist who went on to become a public speaker - she got sick and tired of staying in faceless same same hotel rooms. So she set up Weelaway as a place to stay that is really "your home when you're not at home".
Weelaway is located on Geraldton's original main street - Gregory Street. It is in a residential area surrounded by lovely old houses. Weelaway Homestead and Weelaway Cottage are just 600 metres from great swimming beaches, terrific coffee and four amazing kids' playgrounds.
