Since July, 2016 Hildegarde Von Bingen has a holiday cottage which is dedicated to her in our village of Fallais (municipality of Braives) The holiday home of Hildegarde is situated in the Natural reserve of Burdinale Mehaigne The Garden of 16 hundred square meters gives onto a river which crosses this natural reserve. You can fish in it. Behind the river, in 300m of the holiday home is the "Ravel" , a long way without cars, which will allow you to make bike rides, on foot or by horse You have to take your bedlinnen with you. If you want me to propose it, there will be an extra charge.
Your host Emmanuelle is fascinated of medicinal plants and Hildegarde de Bingen; she lives in the same village as the holiday cottage which opens you its doors and will show you with pleasure his garden of medicinal plants
This village of Fallais has a story which goes back to the Middle Ages because from the 13eme century a castle is built in the 15eme there century king of France will stop (Louis XI) there and in the 17eme century another king of France will stay (Louis XIV) there. The Valleys of Burdinale and Mehaigne propose 18 circuits of pedestrian walks (among which 4 on Braives), 4 circuits MOUNTAIN BIKE and 2 circuits bike were marked out. In the village of Fallais, in 350m of the holiday cottage, the mill of Fallais proposes the rent of the boxes for your horse, so you can take your horse and it will have its own place not far from yours. A public garden of healing plants is also situated in Fallais
