Our farm is located in the enchanting Flemish Ardennes, at the end of a paved road, amidst the beautiful Koppenberg, Taaienberg, and Paterberg. We have carefully renovated the farm into three ecological holiday homes, each with a unique character. The Zomerhuis, a spacious residence with abundant natural light, is tranquil and idyllic. The house can accommodate up to five people and features two bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor. Upon request, we are happy to add an extra crib for a baby. The ground floor boasts an open kitchen and a cozy sitting area. Prepare your favorite dishes in the well-equipped kitchen and slide open the doors to a generous terrace. On the terrace, you can relax with a drink or ignite the barbecue for an evening of grilled delights, enjoying views of the flower meadow and orchard. There is excellent Wi-Fi connectivity, but intentionally, there is no television or screen. Children can entertain themselves in the garden with a slide, swing, trampoline, mud kitchen, and a summer hammock. There's even a small forest to play in, slackline between the trees, or build a hut. The charming fire pit is an excellent spot to gather, share stories, and enjoy quality time with friends or family. This is the feeling of coming home! Situated in the heart of the Flemish Ardennes, a recognized landscape park, we offer challenging cycling routes for cyclists and mountain bikers, featuring iconic climbs like Koppenberg, Taaienberg, and Paterberg. If you prefer a leisurely bike ride or hike through the hills, there are plenty of routes to choose from. The landscape and idyllic views invite you to explore the area. Kluisbos and Muziekbos are two beautiful forests worth visiting. In Kluisbos, you can enjoy the beautiful nature, tranquility, and encounter the special giants that reside here. Muziekbos is known for its unique beech trees and spring blooms. In spring, the forest floor is adorned with bluebells, small periwinkle, and wild garlic, creating a colorful patchwork. There are various walking routes leading you to the most picturesque spots in the forest. If you need a break from nature and fancy some shopping or dining, Ronse and Oudenaarde are easily accessible, offering a variety of shops and restaurants. In Oudenaarde, you can kayak, pedal boat, or stand-up paddleboard on the Donkvijver. For cycling enthusiasts, a visit to the Centre Tour of Flanders is a must. Admire the late Gothic town hall on the market square. The surroundings boast several dining options. If you crave more culture, Gent, Kortrijk, Brugge, Doornik, and Lille are interesting cities to explore, all approximately a 40-minute drive away. These cities are rich in historical and cultural heritage, featuring numerous attractions, museums, restaurants, and cafes. A day trip to any of these cities is an excellent way to indulge in the offerings of Burgundian culture.
