Lavender Lodge is a fully renovated and refurbished traditional building, keeping the character and essense of the origional for you to enjoy! The gite comprises of a bedroom/sitting room with a private toilet and wet room. It also has a little veranda all independant of the main house. It has it's own entrance via the garden, guests have their own key to lock the building. It's facilities include window screens, a a space for hanging clothes, a chest of drawers, and a hairdryer. Along side the comfortable double bed, a single sofa can be used as an extra bed. Any third guest would only be charged for breakfast. An iron and ironing board are also avaible on request. Lavender Lodge is situated next to the Summer kitchen, which is a feature typical of Bulgarian homes. The Summer Kitchen is a semi enclosed space, cool and shady, yet fully open to the large garden. The English speaking owner lives in the main house and offers continental breakfast daily from local produce served in the Summer Kitchen where you can enjoy the privacy of the space and the garden views. The garden is a perfect space for the spectacular Bulgarian summers, where you can eat and relax and unwind.

I am an eco artist and photographer my work is inspired by the people, animals and the land of the local region. I came to live here permanently in 2013. I feel Rupkite is a special place to live and work, the village has lovely light and energy and is set in a natural environment, I can't think of anything better than to share the experience with guests. Rupkite village is in a tranquil setting and an ideal holiday for nature lovers. It is a very peaceful and safe neighbourhood and the locals are kind and welcoming. Bulgarian is mostly spoken but many people have English as a second language and many restaurants have English menus available. There are two shops on the main street offering groceries. You can cover the village on foot in less than an hour and meet animals grazing by day and view beautiful sunsets and starry skies at night. Getting around Rental cars are available locally at two weeks notice and from airports for very reasonable prices. There is a bus service on week days early morning to and from the local town where you can get further connections to stunning historical towns and other places of interest. Bus times available from the host. There is a taxi service to and from town offering very good rates.
