Nestled atop a bank overlooking the Bay of Fundy, Cresthaven is the perfect spot to kick back and enjoy the world's highest recorded tides and the famous tidal bore. Our inn features three luxurious rooms, all with a view of the water, fireplace, and large, modern ensuite bathrooms. The original home was build by a shipbuilder in 1859 and is a classic example of this era of architecture. Return to a simpler time and come relax with us, enjoying complete privacy and peace. Lounge on the deck to watch the water and majestic eagles and later take a stroll to Nova Scotia's first Heritage District - the Village of Maitland. Feeling the need for adventure? Visit our neighbors for some Tidal Bore Rafting and a soaking good time.
The beautiful, historic Village of Maitland, Nova Scotia on the shores of the Bay of Fundy is home to Cresthaven By the Sea. Warren and Cathrine enjoy welcoming guests to their little bit of heaven. The main house, build by a ship captain in 1859 houses the owners and the B&B was added to the property in 2000. As your main host, Warren is a terrific cook and regional tour guide with a wealth of information about the surrounding area.
Cresthaven, a waterfront bed and breakfast, lies on the shores of historic Maitland along the Glooscap Trail, one of Nova Scotia's pristine treasures. Situated on the shores of the Bay of Fundy, Cresthaven provides one of the finest examples of Maitland's elegant historical homes that has brought the village to the forefront and made it Nova Scotia's first Heritage Conservation District.
