With two rooms to choose from, (Huckleberry and Gwen) we are a unique and tranquil getaway. We are located in a peaceful wooded area in the interior of B.C. Two cozy and open rooms with all the amenities of home as well as a pool, hot tub and exercise area. We boast hand made log and live edge furniture with the intention of recreating a mountain cabin in one room, and a simple but elegant suite designed with taste and comfort in mind, but with creature comforts within walking distance. We have a queen size bed in each suite and a futon couch that converts to a double bed in Huckleberry for your sleeping arrangements. Your own private kitchenette and bathroom are in each suite.

Born to a military family in the US we grew up poor and learnd how to build what we wanted. Moved to Vancouver Canada in 1987 (Just missed Expo but still had to pay tolls on the Coquihalla) I was lucky enough to be educated at a very good Highschool. Found a passion for fast cars, so I built a lot of them. I discovered another passion for off road racing so I did that too. Now my passion is farming, our animals, and hosting.

We are located on a working hobby farm with a multitude of animals including Highland cows, horses, donkeys, goats and much more. There is always something going on so feel free to chat with the hosts and family if you have any questions! We ask that any animal interaction be kept to the fence line unless authorized or accompanied by the host. There is an electric gate on the driveway to access the property and operation of the gate will be explained upon booking. We have many amenities in Barriere such as a grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants, pub, gas stations, parks, ice cream stand, shops, hiking, skiing (nearby), water sports, fishing and much more. ***PLEASE NOTE*** We have two very large guardian dogs (Anatolian Shepherds) that have free run of the property. They are extremely friendly to people but not to other dogs or cats. This is why we list as no pets. They will investigate you. If you are afraid of dogs please let the host know so we can take appropriate precautions.
