Hello! The Kinsol Hideaway is a charming second floor apartment suite nestled on a residential 6 acre farm 2 minutes from the famous Cowichan Valley Trail and historic Kinsol Trestle in Shawnigan Lake, Vancouver Island. The suite has warm modern farm house decor with personal touches and large skylights that flood the space with sun. Some of the personal touches include local guides, maps, body care products and kitchen essentials to make your travel experience easy. There is ample storage below the unit to safely store bicycles, gear and equipment in a dry locked shed (note: the whole area is very safe). There are 14 steps that lead up to the small deck to the front door entrance. As you enter the space, there is a decorative wood burning stove (non-functional) on the immediate right with space behind to store things. The kitchen is straight ahead with a bar top and 4 stools. The full size kitchen consists of a refrigerator/freezer, full size stove/oven, microwave, single sink and cookware. A few staple spices and condiments are also provided. The dining room is located on the left of the front door beside two comfortable lounge chairs and sleeping sofa. There is a small tv across from the sleeper sofa to snuggle in and watch a good movie. Cards, games and dominos are provided for a relaxing night in. The 3 piece private bathroom is located in the hallway across from the living room with a bathtub/shower, large sink, linen closet, toilette, and hanging / storage area. Stepping stools are provided for children to easily reach the sink. Further down the hallway is the bedroom on the left with a queen size bed. The bedroom is a small cozy space large enough for the bed and the two side tables with lamps. The 10ft x 10ft back deck is just off the bedroom with French doors that open to enjoy the fresh mountain air. The back deck (coming soon) will have a 4 seater comfortable outdoor dining table with an umbrella to enjoy your meals outside.
