Welcome to Forest Nook in stunning Queens Bay! Nestled along picturesque Kootenay Lake, this 2-tiny homed property is perfect for groups or solo guests seeking a wilderness escape.
These clean, cozy cabin's invite you to unwind to the sound of a nearby stream after a day of exploring the beautiful Kootenays, or fall asleep star gazing under the skylight, or celebrate your anniversary with a soak in Ainsworth Hot Springs, an 8-minute drive away. Whatever brings you here, take in tranquil views of Kootenay Lake through the trees from your nook atop a dramatic cliff or brave a swim with the nearest beach just a one-minute drive away.
Think of this experience as glamping on steroids in a beautiful adult fort! The homes are slightly off-grid and use propane for hot water and using multiple appliances at a time can be tricky.
A word of caution: our tiny home stairs are steep and deep and might give your knees a workout! If you’ve got creaky joints, take it slow and enjoy the view.
*Please know that the location of the property may be prone to spring and summer windstorms, which may cause the occasional power outage. Rest assured that the outages rarely last long, and it's a great time to get even cozier amongst the incredible moss and experience a Kootenay wind storm!

We live on the property and can assist you with anything you may need when exploring the surrounding area. The Kootenays are a beautiful region with lots to do!
Located in Queens Bay near Balfour, BC we're surrounded by must-see spots and local gems. Take a scenic 25-minute drive to Kaslo for jaw-dropping mountain vistas and one-of-a-kind shops and restaurants. Explore walking paths, hiking trails, mountain biking routes, and bustling local markets. Historic Ainsworth Hot Springs is also a very short drive away.
Balfour Golf Course, also just minutes away, to practice your swing and kick back at the Osprey Mountain Grill afterward. Hop aboard the Balfour Osprey Ferry, Canada's largest free ferry in Canada!
Venture south to Nelson, where summer markets, bike trails, and restaurants will give you a chance to experience the true #KootenayLife
