We are not effected by the 'short term rental' laws which came into effect on May 1, 2024, so your reservation with us is safe! We're located in a 100 year old house above Alberni Inlet. For incredible salmon fishing, book Aug 1 to Sept 10. Famous Stamp Falls, hiking the Alberni Inlet trail, Cathedral Grove, a cruise on MV Frances Barkley, or wonderful Milner Gardens, as well as some great restaurants are prime reasons to visit Port Alberni. We're also conveniently close to Ucluelet/Tofino, (Ucluelet~102 km). Our home has a wonderful view & a full breakfast is included. If you get back from your excursions early, you can sit by the Koi Pond, sipping a cup of tea or a blueberry smoothie. If you're pet lovers, we have an Australian Shepard and Poodle cross on premises (but not in your room!) We'll try and help you to enjoy your stay to the utmost. See you soon!
Milly organizes our B & B and Bill does the cooking. We enjoy hiking, dog-walking and meeting new people. BIll (but not Milly) enjoys fishing as well. We enjoy meeting our guests and, very frequently, learning from them. We also strongly respect the privacy of our guests.
Stamp Falls Park is a "must see", along with nearby Cathedral Grove (Giant Douglas Fir trees). The Alberni Inlet Trail is rated as one of the best hikes on Vancouver Island by Valley of trails and the one day cruise up to Bamfield on a working coastal freighter (less than a hundred dollars, round trip) is not to be missed. Some great restaurants are The Spice Hut, Little Bavaria, The Brie & Barrel, and The Clam Bucket. Our B & B/home is only 102 km from Ucluelet and about 130 km from Tofino.
