Heidi and Tarek bought the historic townhouse in 2020 and put their heart and soul into renovating and remodelling it. Special care was taken to preserve the historic fabric of the building, which gives the house its unique charm and which we would like to bring closer to our guests. The name ‘a knight's townhouse’ refers to the original mural of a medieval soldier, which is located in the flat on the second floor and has been painstakingly restored.

Holidays with a historic feel and modern comfort! Two holiday flats in a historic building, very centrally located in the old town of the picturesque town of Büren an der Aare. Shops, cafés, restaurants, pharmacy, bank and post office are all less than 5 minutes' walk away. A perfect location for your stay! Mobility: There is a regional bus service in Büren. The train station is 270 metres away. From there it takes around 19 minutes to get to Biel/Bienne main station, 13 minutes to Lyss and 27 minutes to Solothurn. You can reach the neighbouring towns in a very short time by private car. The holiday flat has a reserved car park at the station, which is available to our guests free of charge. There are also other public car parks around the station or - for a short parking period - directly in front of the accommodation. The rear part of the residential and commercial building dates back to the 13th century and contains parts of the original town wall. The front part was added in later centuries. The 3.5-room flat on the first floor can accommodate 7 people. It consists of an open corridor, a functionally equipped kitchen with dining area, a living room with antique stove, a sofa bed (144x200cm, bed linen for 2 persons available) and an 11 m2 room with two single beds. The rear part of the flat has been completely renovated in 2026 and contains a bathroom with shower cubicle, WC, washbasin, washing machine and dryer as well as a large bedroom with a double bed and a single bed. The flat impresses with its historical charm, the solid and slightly arched walls, the natural stone wall in the living room, the wooden elements and the view of the market square with the Vennerbrunnen fountain. Note: It is not permitted to use the accommodation for illegal activities and/or prostitution. Illegal activities will be systematically reported to the police.

Büren's historic centre is a sight in itself. Its central location between all of Switzerland's major cities such as Bern, Basel, Zurich, Lausanne, Geneva etc. as well as various bodies of water, the Alps and the Jura mountains makes Büren the perfect starting point for discovering Switzerland's beauty.
