Mabeo builds and renovates some of the holiday properties itself, creating traditional accommodation with typical Valais Alpine charm. Chalet Himmel – From an old ruin to a dream holiday home Chalet Himmel is a former traditional Valais stable that Mabeo GmbH has lovingly transformed from a ruin into a modern holiday home. The historic charm of the building has been preserved, while contemporary comforts have been added to ensure an unforgettable holiday experience. In October 2022, the stable was still a dilapidated ruin: parts of the roof were missing, and nature had already reclaimed parts of the building. But the vision was clear – a unique holiday home was to be created here. In March 2023, the renovation work began: old material was removed, missing masonry was replaced and the roof was rebuilt. Step by step, the stable was brought back to life. In the summer of 2023, the interior work began. With the installation of a false ceiling, the individual rooms were created – cosy, modern and mostly made of local wood, which gives the house warmth and character. The chalet has been available to guests since the beginning of 2024. Chalet Himmel can accommodate 6–8 people and is ideal for families, friends or couples. The Chalet Himmel is located in the centre of Biel VS. - Cross-country ski trail and railway station within a 6-minute walk - Aletsch Arena ski area via Fiesch can be reached in 15 minutes by car - Hiking and biking trails right on the doorstep - Playground in the village - Small grocery store in the immediate vicinity. Larger store can be reached in approx. 10 minutes by car. - Swimming pool in Reckingen is a 7-minute drive away. - Goms golf course in Obergesteln is approx. 15 minutes away by car.
