Absolute beachfront house for you to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. With uninterrupted ocean views this is one of the best locations to whale watch because the reef is close to the shore. Every year from July to October the majestic Humpback whales enter Cook Island territory for mating and the birthing of their calves. They often come in to play near the reef, so you can be lucky and watch a great show from the house deck or the shoreline.
I am retired, and spend most of my time living in Christchurch New Zealand but enjoy several weeks each year in Rarotonga, Cook Islands, where I have just built a holiday home. I enjoy travelling and over the years have visited many countries. I have family, both in Christchurch and Auckland and love spending time with them. I enjoy having overseas guests stay and over the years have met many wonderful people. It is a privilege to be able to share my homes with guests.

The property is on the east side of the island away from the hustle and bustle of the major tourist hotels and is mostly friendly locals who live in the neighbourhood.
Love Cafe is 50 metres walk for your morning coffee fix or snacks, "Superbrowns" 24 hour store is 1km up the road, the main township 5 minutes drive, 7 minute drive to the airport and 5 minutes drive to beautiful Muri Beach.
The bus goes past on the hour both clockwise and anti clockwise: just wave them down and they will stop and pick you up at the gate. The drive around the island takes about 40 minutes which is fun on the bus - you see plenty, enjoy the banter of the bus driver, and maybe meet some locals.
On arrival at the airport there are taxis and also van transfers available, or you can arrange for a rental car to be at the airport for your arrival. There are many car, motorbike and bicycle rentals available on the island at reasonable prices.
The bus travels both clockwise and anticlockwise on the hour. There is a timetable in the information book. Just flag down the bus and they will stop outside the house.
