Refugio Los Maquis is located just a few steps away from one of Lago General Carrera’s beautiful beaches & a 10 minute walk from the base of Los Maquis Waterfall. The refugio, a modern loft design with rustic details, was built this year and has 1 queen bed and a trundle bed (2 single beds - cama nido) in the living space below. We hope you will enjoy visiting our vegetable & flower garden on the property and learning more about our sustainable lifestyle here in Patagonia during your stay.
I am a 34 year professional who spends most of the year living in Patagonia, Chile with my partner Cristobal (Chile). We will be in contact through the Airbnb app and text to answer any questions you may have. In addition, we (Cristobal, Frannie, and our dog Yaqui) are living on the same property as the refugio and we look forward to meeting our guests in person when possible!
Our property, located 5 km (3 miles) outside of Puerto Guadal , is a very quiet and peaceful place to relax and recharge. We hope you will take advantage of the beach access and enjoy visiting the Maquis waterfall during your stay. The Refugio is located 5 km (a 6 minute drive) from the tranquil town of Puerto Guadal. In Puerto Guadal you can find grocery shops , a hardware store, a mechanic workshop, a health post, laundry services, and a few cafes and restaurants. Please take note that there is NO bank or pharmacy in Puerto Guadal!
