Sierra Morena Eco-hotel was born from the desire of a local family to integrate the agricultural vocation of its land, while becoming a cozy and pleasant rural hotel choice for tourists. Our hotel is only 5 minutes away by car from the main plaza and easy walking distance. Indeed what makes this place full of magic is its majestic view that inspires peace and serenity. Here, you will have the opportunity to observe “first row” the famous Barbas Bremen Natural Reserve. Or if you prefer, you can choose to spend some time at our cozy Kiosque to enjoy Quindío’s endless green where you can spot towns like; Calarca, Armenia, Montenegro,Quimbaya, Tebaida, among other almost covering Quindío’s total area.

Our hotel is situated at Filandia, the most beautiful town in Quindío. This is what is written on the plaque that decorates the main plaza where locals gather everyday while they enjoy a delicious cup of coffee in an ambiance of traditional colonial architecture. Also known as ‘The Illuminated Hill”, Filandia, shares its charm and surrounds our hotel with its beautiful landscapes of this privileged zone which makes part of the UNESCO Cultural Heritage declaration given to the Coffee Cultural Landscapes in the region. Even while the town has become familiar with its recent touristic affluence, it has successfully conserved intact its coffee town essence in the middle of the Andean Mountains.
