Cachabri is a small rural community in the district of Bribri, within the canton of Talamanca in Limón Province, near the Panama border. It is predominantly home to Indigenous Bribri people, whose culture remains deeply rooted in traditional practices, language, and especially cacao, which holds both spiritual and economic importance in the community. Life in Cachabri is largely based on small-scale agriculture—such as cacao, plantains, bananas, and root crops—along with informal local commerce and occasional eco-cultural tourism.
