Surrounded by lush fruit trees and exotic flora that attract an array of wildlife, including birds, agoutis, sloths, toucans, and white-faced monkeys and Howler monkeys, Calypso Cabaña offers a perfect blend of comfort and adventure for eco-tourists, adventure seekers, small families, mature couples, and digital nomads alike.

In my free time, I love laying on the beach and playing music. I often travel to Costa Rica and highly recommend visiting authentic small towns like Cahuita, Playa Chiquita, and Manzanillo. Don't miss Cahuita’s three beautiful beaches that must be explored. For a unique cultural experience, check out SEED, a farm just outside of Cahuita, run by Rachel. The farm employs the local Bribri tribe and offers workshops taught by the Bribri. Friends describe me as happy, positive, and a real problem solver. Though I am new to hosting, I am enthusiastic about providing a comfortable and welcoming space for my guests. Playa Blanca and Playa Negra are the top beaches; Playa Blanca offers white sand and calm waters perfect for swimming and snorkeling, while Playa Negra is known for its unique black sand. Snorkeling and diving are popular here due to the vibrant coral reefs. The town's Afro-Caribbean influence is evident in its music, food, and festivals. The town is about a four-hour drive from San José, the capital of Costa Rica, and is also accessible by bus, taxi or shuttle.
