About the Accommodations The property offers two accommodation options, each designed to meet different needs. Casa AlmaCalma is a private, standalone house, ideal for those seeking complete privacy. It features one bedroom, a private bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and a terrace overlooking the tropical garden, offering an exclusive space to relax and enjoy a peaceful stay. Casa Avi Fauna Guesthouse is a guesthouse where travelers can book one of two private rooms, Malinche or Master, both with private bathrooms. Guests share a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, the saltwater pool, and common areas surrounded by a lush tropical garden. Both accommodations are located on the same property but are independent and booked separately. They share a privileged natural setting where it’s common to spot tropical birds and, occasionally, howler monkeys. The location, in a quiet area of Playa Ocotal and just a few minutes from the beach, allows you to enjoy both relaxation and the many activities and beaches of the Gulf of Papagayo. Whether you choose the privacy of Casa AlmaCalma or the cozy atmosphere of Casa Avi Fauna Guesthouse, you’ll find a place designed for relaxation, connecting with nature, and enjoying Costa Rican hospitality.

Playa Ocotal is a small bay known for its tranquil atmosphere, crystal-clear waters, and natural surroundings. It is the ideal spot for those wishing to relax away from the hustle and bustle while remaining close to all amenities. With its dark volcanic sand and generally calm waters, the beach is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, or paddleboarding. Thanks to its rich marine life, it also serves as an excellent starting point for diving excursions and boat trips around the Gulf of Papagayo. The neighborhood is a safe, residential area surrounded by tropical vegetation. During your stay, you will often hear birdsong and with a bit of luck spot howler monkeys, iguanas, and other wildlife. Playa Ocotal is just a short walk away, and other nearby beaches, such as Playa Pez Vela, are also within walking distance. The area features beachfront restaurants including Father Rooster and Soluna Beach Club that are perfect for enjoying local cuisine with an ocean view. If you are looking for more dining, shopping, or nightlife options, Playas del Coco is only 5 km away (about a 10–15 minute drive). There, you will find supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, medical centers, shops, tour operators, and a wide range of dining and entertainment choices. The location is also perfect for exploring the beaches and national parks of the Gulf of Papagayo, going on wildlife-watching tours, sport fishing, sailing, ziplining, visiting hot springs, or discovering the volcanic landscapes of Guanacaste.
