We don’t put on an act—we’re simply ourselves, living that laid-back Caribbean vibe every day. As for our dress code? Barefoot is best! Hosting is truly a labor of love for me. I enjoy connecting with people from all over the world on a personal level, having great conversations, and sharing genuine experiences. I’ve traveled extensively myself, gathering countless impressions along the way, and I want to share that passion for discovery and openness to other cultures with my guests. One of my great passions is international cuisine—something I fell in love with during my travels. If you’re up for it, we can fire up the stove together in a totally relaxed way. No pressure, just for fun: we’ll learn from each other, find inspiration, and enjoy a cozy dinner in a friendly, family-like atmosphere. Beyond that, I use my long-standing local connections to organize authentic experiences for my guests—far removed from mass tourism—whether it’s an authentic fishing boat trip or discovering hidden spots along the coast. Here, you can leave all your stress and worries at the gate. Welcome to our small, idyllic retreat! What makes our accommodation so special is the perfect blend of absolute tranquility and immediate proximity to nature. We are intentionally located about 3 kilometers outside the bustling center of Cahuita, right next to a beautifully wild stretch of coastline. Instead of traffic noise, the only sounds you’ll hear are the soothing roar of the ocean and the morning calls of howler monkeys. The beach is just a 50-meter walk from your doorstep. We prioritize a warm, family-like atmosphere—we want you to feel right at home with friends from the very first moment. As a passionate cook, I love sharing this enthusiasm with my guests on a personal level: International cuisine & mutual learning—I love culinary exchange! If you’re interested, we can fire up the stove together and dive into international cooking. It’s all about learning from one another—trying out recipes from around the world, inspiring each other, and creating a cozy dinner in a friendly, family-like setting. Refreshment & relaxation: A lovely swimming pool right in the garden invites you to cool off. Community & leisure: Feel free to use our well-equipped communal kitchen or relax in our covered seating area. Unforgettable evenings: A garden barbecue area, along with a private, romantic fire pit and grill right on the beach, ensure magical evenings under the starry sky. Many of our guests say our property feels like a small national park: you sit on your private, open-air terrace surrounded by greenery, listening to the birds, and—with a bit of luck—you might spot toucans, colorful iguanas, or even a sloth right on the grounds. Our accommodation is nestled in a wonderfully peaceful natural oasis, offering the perfect blend of relaxation and authentic experiences. Forget the overcrowded tourist traps—here, you’ll experience the Caribbean coast as it truly is: wild, welcoming, and unspoiled. Here are the real highlights and convenient options in our immediate neighborhood: Shopping & Dining Nearby: For a quick bite or any essentials you might have forgotten, there is a cozy little local shop (mini-market) just 350–400 meters away. The charming "Bananas" restaurant is also right in the neighborhood and is open almost every day (except Tuesdays). Beach Life Right on Your Doorstep: The wild, romantic beach is just 50 meters away—perfect for long walks or a magical evening at our beach fire pit. The famous Playa Negra, with its deep black sand, is also easily accessible. Cahuita National Park: One of Costa Rica’s most beautiful national parks. Admission is by donation, and the hiking trail runs right along the white sandy beach. Your chances of spotting sloths, monkeys, and colorful frogs in the wild here are excellent. Dream Beaches & the Road to Manzanillo: Take a trip to picture-perfect beaches like Punta Uva. The drive along the coast down to Manzanillo is a stunning nature experience in itself.
