Named after the famous surf break "Little Hawaii" that is a short walk down the beach, this property was started by a native Costa Rican with a dream of opening a relaxing getaway at his favorite beach. This property is now lovingly managed by our family and friends following the passing of the original host.

At Little Hawaii Avellanas we offer comfortable accommodation a 2-minute walk away from the world famous beach break of Playa Avellanas. While other locations advertise close proximity to the beach, they often lead you down long-trails through a protected mangrove (driving and parking is prohibited in the Mangrove). Our street is the only street in Avellanas with paved access to the beach directly in front of where the surfing breaks start. With only 4 studios on the premises, your stay will be private and relaxing, but we are a guesthouse and cannot offer the same amenities as a large hotel, so keep that in mind before booking if you are looking for more of a hotel experience. Little Hawaii is the closest studio accommodation to Playa Avellanas, so you can skip the parking hassle and enjoy a peaceful getaway. ✔ Base rate for 2 guests, additional charge for each guest after ✔ Sleeps up to 4 (with a pull-out sofa bed) - Please note that while the room can sleep up to 4, it is a 30m2 space with no separate bedroom. ✔ Quiet, secure property ✔ Walk to beach, restaurants & shops ✔Each studio comes with a private kitchen, private bathroom, hot shower, secure parking space, safe box, high speed internet, basic toiletries, 1 queen bed (1 sofa bed optl), AC, cable and smart TV. Share amenities include: the pool, patio and BBQ area. To maintain a relaxing and safe atmosphere for the other guests, we have a strict no-visitor policy. All guests must be registered on the booking even if the visitor just enters the property for a few hours and does not stay (4 max per room). Car rental recommended to explore the area, but not required due to the prime location. On-site parking is within a secure fence and monitored with secuity cameras.
