These areas have more centenarians (people over 100 years old) than anywhere else in the world. The area of Santa Teresa/Manzanillo and the beach towns of the Nicoya peninsula are very popular and growing areas. There are plenty of beaches to explore and restaurants of all kinds to try. Some of the best surfing in Costa Rica with more surf spots than any other 10 kilometer stretch. A Brand new airport is opening nearby that will allow easy access to the area. Manzanillo is just removed and has a peacfull tranquil vibe and less crowded beaches. Its clear why this is one of the best tourist destinations in Costa Rica to visit.
