On 01 July 2023 Dominique and Martin have fulfilled their big dream and have taken over the Sueño Grande from Jody. We emigrated from Switzerland to Costa Rica and will live our new life here in Puerto Viejo. We are hosts from the heart and are happy to welcome you here at Sueño Grande. We love nature and our surroundings. We will be happy to give you tips for your excursions, restaurants, bars and much more. We are accompanied here by our new, sweet dog Sam.

This quiet hideaway with its refreshing pool, lush gardens, three private suites and amazing breakfasts served daily. This gem is nestled in the heart of Puerto Viejo and is just 2 blocks from the Caribbean. Explore the excellent restaurants, nature, shopping and nightlife just around the corner. Modern suites are designed to inspire relaxation & provide the comforts of home with AC, Wifi, en suite baths, kitchenettes, and premium linens. Design elements are simple and tranquil to encourage a feeling of retreat from the outside world while you gaze out at the garden or float in the pool. All of our accommodations have the option to enjoy a wonderful continental breakfast each morning. We make many of our own pastries, jams, syrups, and juices fresh for you each day and pair those with coffee or tea. The hotel does not have guarded parking places. There is a possibility to park in front of the hotel on the street.

Neighborhood info

Puerto Viejo is a charming town on the Caribbean coast. It skipped big development in favor of small local restaurants, wildlife, beautiful beaches & an exciting nightlife. The area has the charm days past where people greet each other as they pass. Sueño Grande is located on a neighborhood surrounded by homes at the streets end providing a great place to relax and get away while still being close enough to walk to any activity.
