A unique experience,living i a giant ancient strangler fig,ficus ssp.(matapalo) with a diameter of over 8 meters with nature all around you.The treehouse has 2 decks, with an extra3rd little deck to enjoy your morning coffee or anevening cocktail while looking out into the jungle's tree tops and flora.The first floor has a beautiful tropical wood deck,with carved posts and one side which is completely a wall of the giant's tree trunk.creating a mosaic of shapes,twists and turns. There is a fully equipped kitchen,dining room,bathroomand terasse over-looking the tropical frog pont and gardens. Relax in the hammock and enjoy the wildlife around you. On the 2nd deck, there is another livingroom on the open air terrace with a spectacular view looking over the canopy of trees and plants.The 2 bedrooms are adjacent to the living room,each with its own window opening out into the tree's branches.The main bedroom has a 4 poster-bed with a full Quenn orthopaedic mattress,mosquito net draping over it,fan and security safe box.The other bedroom has 2 twin beds with mosquito nets and a fan.A large bathroom with 2 sinks, a full shower with glass doors,elegant tiles and beautiful hardwood ...

I was born in the rural country of Slovenia but grew up in Germany.Since as far as I can remember my love was strong. Working hard in Germany,my hobby,then my passion and later to become my profession, was of frogs,especially poisen dark frogs.I made over 40 trips to the different rainforests of South - and Central Amerika to discover,find and photograph this little jewels.One of these trips brought me to Cahuita,in Cost Rica. It was love at first sight,I knew I had to come back and make this my home.I came back in 1987 and bought 2 hectareas of land in Cahuita by the beach Playa Negra.There as I campedunder the star lite skies at night, surrounded by thousends of fireflies, I would imagine and make plans of my dream treehouse build in the giant tree that was towering over my property.At first I build my home and as life does,plans changed,life moved on.Realizing this childhood dream took over 17 years.It is a return to innocence and escape from the everyday routine. A sensation of freedom,peace and tranquility that only a living tree can create.
