Spacious house with a unique 270 degree view over the entire bay of Tarrafal de Monte Trigo. Three guest rooms, each with at least two single beds, that can be put together as a double: One corner room with two beds and breathtaking sea view, one room with three beds with a private terrace and another room with two beds. Each room has its own bathroom. Every guest has access to our large terrace, which is also the place where meals are taken. It offers plenty of sheltered space with sun protection and sun loungers. Wifi is included. The village center and the beach are within walking distance. The nearest grocery store (“mercearia”) is approx. 300 m away. The cleaning lady (“empregada”) comes daily and can also be booked to take care of your laundry as well as to prepare lunch and dinner. The rooms must be booked individually (prices per room and bed occupancy). Minimum rental period two nights. At Casa Saúde you have the opportunity to enjoy a remote village with the convenience of western comfort. !! Important information !! Due to the steep road, four-wheel drive is strongly recommended when traveling by rental car. If traveling by taxi, a four-wheel drive vehicle (pick-up or bus with four-wheel drive) is recommended.

We are a nature-loving German family living in Switzerland.

The house is situated on a rocky shoulder, which gives you a feeling of being above it all. Yet the village is close. You hear the waves breaking on the shore as well as the roosters greeting the morning down by the water. Things to do are amongst others: hiking, snorkeling, fishing and mountain biking. You might even come across a sea turtle laying its eggs on the beach. A family of humpback whales close to shore we have been sighting twice in february. However, you are more likely to spot dolphins hunting in the bay. Fishing gear can be rented. For other activities you have to bring your own equipment. On request the staff can organize day trips by pick-up or boat to explore the entire island. Hiking to Monte Trigo is a particular highlight, This is a unique village to the North of Tarrafal, that can only be reached by foot or boat. Here you are very close to the westernmost point of Africa. If you hike there, we can arrange a boat ride back.
