Hosted in an 1929 stone building, New Helvetia Historic Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Cyprus, ran by the 4th generation of owners and offers free WiFi, and on-site fitness facilities. It is located in Pano Platres, at the foot of the Troodos Mountains. Platres Athletic Center can be reached within a 5-minute drive. Trooditissa Monastery is a 10-minute drive away. A 250-year-old pine tree growing through the roof is the centerpiece of the lobby, which also features an ancient brick fireplace. Guests can relax in the TV corner while enjoying a drink from the lounge bar. Certified Cypriot breakfast is served in the morning. The rooms of the vintage-style New Helvetia Historic Hotel have private bathrooms, and are equipped with radio and satellite TV. All rooms have a balcony looking out onto the pine trees.
