This family-run hotel lies in the heart of the historic Old Town of Monschau, beneath the impressive castle buildings. It is an ideal base for exploring the Eifel Mountains. The 3-star Hotel Alt Montjoie offers standard rooms with a TV and private bathroom with shower, as well as simpler rooms with a small shower, sink and access to a shared bathroom. A breakfast buffet is offered in the morning. Hearty, home-made meals are served in the restaurant, which uses fresh, local produce including game and trout. You can also sample tasty seasonal specialties here. The wood-paneled bar and outside terrace invite you to enjoy a refreshing drink at the end of a busy day. A bike storage is also available. The surrounding countryside of the German-Belgian Nature Park is ideal for hiking, cycling, Nordic walking and motorbike trips. The hotel can even provide a packed lunch for you to take along.
