Our concept was to largely preserve the tree population of the small forest property. The single-storey timber construction was placed in the front area of the property in such manner that the sun can be enjoyed from morning to evening. Thus the house is in balance with nature. All appliances are designed same-level and barrier-free and are accessible from a separate ramp located in the south-west. Inside the small entrance divides the private rooms from the common room, which opens to the street side and through a large glace façade to the courtyard out front. This very special room, a hortus conclusus, introverted and protected against view from the street, is integrated into the façade design and is in balance with the population of tall old trees. The ramp not only makes the house accessible, it also connects a set of stairs to a clearing on the back part of the property. The result is architecture which was developed by “reading the place”.

The guest house is located in a small forestplace in Bad Münstereifel - Esch and is approximately 8 km from the town centre of Bad Münstereifel. From the motorway exit you reach it in approximately 20 minutes by car. The location offers many possibilities for lovers of nature: hiking, biking, horse riding, cross-country skiing in the winter and forest bathing in summer. We have collected all leisure opportunities in a brochure for you, which is available at the holiday home. A maximum of one adult dog is allowed on request in our accommodation. Provided the dog is not too tall and well behaved. The house is equipped with high quality, which is why we ask for your understanding.
