Our lovingly renovated holiday home from 1866 combines historic charm with modern comfort. The house, now over 160 years old, was completely renovated in 2026 and thoughtfully furnished to offer a cozy and relaxing stay. You can look forward to: two comfortable living rooms a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, oven, ceramic hob, microwave, and fridge with freezer compartment a master bedroom and a children’s room with bunk beds a modern bathroom with shower and washing machine, plus an additional WC on the upper floor a bright conservatory and a fenced garden of approx. 250 m² with seating area and charcoal grill Here, the character of a historic home meets modern amenities: Four TVs (including one 52") in the living and sleeping areas, as well as high-speed Wi-Fi (up to 250 Mbit/s), ensure comfort and entertainment – even for longer stays. A special highlight: Your dogs are very welcome here and can enjoy the fully fenced garden freely.

We discovered the charming village of Schalkenmehren in 2024 during a stop on one of our camper trips – and immediately fell in love with its unique atmosphere in the heart of the Volcanic Eifel. A year later, we had the opportunity to purchase this cozy holiday home and renovate it with great attention to detail. Since then, we have been happy to offer our guests a place to relax, unwind, and feel at home. As dog owners ourselves, we know how difficult it can be to find suitable accommodation – especially when traveling with more than one dog. That’s why families with two or more dogs are very welcome here.

From our holiday home, you can reach the lake in just about 3 minutes on foot. Whether you prefer relaxing walks, scenic hikes, or simply enjoying nature – this is the perfect place to unwind.
